We hereby confirm that the “SmartIT” company participated in the project implemented with the aim of improving the information security level at “Azerbaijan Railways” CJSC and replaced the security systems used for external protection with the “PALO ALTO” Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW). By using NGFW, the organization’s perimeter network security have been strengthened. During the implementation of NGFW, the following functional capabilities were used:

• User identification;
• Identification of applications;
• Segmentation between users and applications;
• Intrusion prevention system;
• Web page classification system;
• Malicious traffic identification;

In the implemented project, the migration of the existing critical systems was carried out without downtime, and the optimization of security measures based on international experience was completed. Next Generation Firewalls are installed in high availability mode, which has been confirmed by various tests.
